The Remote Loopy-2 allows you to set up the effects in your amps FX loop and control them remotely from anywhere on the stage.
The Remote Loopy-2 uses high quality audio relays to facilitate the switching of the 2 TRUE BYPASS effects loops. The trigger in the Remote Loopy-2 can be activated by any latching switch and as there is no audio in the trigger cable, it can be as long as you like with absolutely no effect on the audio quality!
It's so easy. Setup the effects you want to go into the front of your amp like OD's and fuzz's then use the Remote Loopy-2 FS on your board which now controls the effects you have setup in your amps fx loop. (Cue round of applause)
FAQs How do I use the Remote Loopy-2 with the effects loop in my amp? If your amp has an effects loop it can be great to use effects like chorus and delay in the loop of the amp while your OD effects go direct to the input in the front of your amp. With the Remote Loopy-2 you can switch the effects that are in the loop of your amp right from your pedal while the effects themselves are at the back of your amp so you avoid those tone sucking long cable runs from the send and return of your amps' fx loop. here's how it works.
Setting up The Remote loopy-2 with your amps fx loop is simplicity itself. It has an input which is where you connect the amps FX SEND and an output where the signal is fed back to the amps' FX RETURN. There are two loops fed in series, one into the other, 1, into 2. This means that if you have both loops on the effect from loop 1 will go into the effect in loop 2, just like on a normal pedal board. The idea here is that you can use short cables from the amps fx loop to connect the pedals or rack effects to the amp. Many amp FX loops are very sensitive to the capacitance from long cable runs so this does away with the need for those long cables.
The Remote Loopy-2 has a stereo jack input which gives you access to the two true-bypass loops in the Remote Loopy-2. Used with the Remote Loopy-2 FS (footswitch) you can yurn on and off the effects in the loop from the front of the stage. The cable that connects the footswitch to the Remote Loopy-2 can be as long as you like because importantly there is no audio signal in it. It is simply telling the loops to open or close.
Can I use the Remote Loopy-2 into the front of the amp?Absolutely. The Remote Loopy-2 is the same circuit as the Loopy-2 using our true bypass gold contact relay effect loops. There is no extra loading on the signal, it's just pure open switching so it works just as well going straight into the front of the amp as it does into the effects loop.
Do I need to use the Remote Loopy-2 Footswitch?No. The Remote Loopy-2 FS is the perfect partner for it but any stereo on/off isolated switch will do. You can even use the remote switches in the Pro-14 to control the Remote loopy-2 loops.
