We just can't help ourselves. We have an idea, we get inspired, then we start work and don't stop till we crack, and let me tell you, we have cracked this one for sure!
I'm so pleased to announce to you the launch of TheGigRig' Wet Box'
This device will allow you to mix your original signal (dry) with delays, reverbs, (wet) anything you stick in the loop of the Wet Box.
And here's the best bit, you can do it in real time with an expression pedal!
FAQs How do I use the WetBox as a parellel mixer? In the setup below you can see the guitar signal enters into the input/a. The Delay pedal is put in the loop of the WetBox (WB send to delay input, delay output to WB return)
You can now set the wet/dry ratio which is the blend of the input signal and the effect return by using either the Balance control knob OR the WetBox EXP pedal. This means that your original signal is unaffected and you can just blend in as much of the delay as you want. The gain control is a master volume for the WetBox output.
How do I set up the WetBox to give me delay trails? This is my favourite way to use the WetBox. You can use the EXP or any volume pedal to pull this one off. Basically the send from the WetBox goes to the volume pedal, then out of the volume pedal to the input of the delay. Set the delay to 100% wet then with the volume pedal on full use the A-B blend on the WetBox to set the maximum delay effect.
Now the volume pedal controls the amount of signal the delay pedal receives. When you playing pull the volume pedal back and the delay will trail over whatever you play next. It's works brilliantly!
here's the signal path image and below is a YouTube video demo of this setup
