Thanks for your enquiry about the G3/Atom Tuner Mod.
We are currently in conversation with our shipping agent to work out the most efficient way to get units back and get them modded.
I've noted down your email and name in a spreadsheet of interest, we’re working hard to organise the logistics of this in order to be as efficient as possible, so please be patient with us. As soon as we have more detailed information we’ll get back to you with any further details we need to get you scheduled in.
Here’s a couple of questions we’ve had so far
Q. How long will it take?
A. It all depends on where you are. The mod itself doesn’t take very long but we need to schedule the units in for the mod, then update the software, perform a final test etc. Once this is done we need to organise the return shipping. We’ll get it done as efficiently as possible
Q. How much will it cost?
A. We will mod your units for free, but you’ll need to cover the shipping cost and any other fees. We’re working with our agent trying to mitigate any customs fees where possible - as temporary imports this shouldn’t be an issue. Once we have the details of this we’ll let you know
Q. I’m handy with a soldering iron, can I do the mod myself?
A. Unfortunately no. Apart from a small mod to one of the circuit boards we need to re-flash the display driver and that takes specialist knowledge and equipment, and can only be done at our production facility in the UK
Q. Can I just update my unit?
A. If you G3's serial number is above 1775 or your Atom's serial number is above 1312 you can just update your unit without sending it back in.
If your G3/Atom serial is lower than these and you wish to install the tuner, please get in touch via the form below
Q. Can I get my unit modded anyway in the U.S.?
A. No, it can only be done at our production facility in the UK
Q. I’m in the UK, can I just bring my unit by to be modded?
A. We may be able to organise for you to drop your unit off, but our production facility isn’t open to the public. In most cases it will be much more efficient to post the unit to us
Q. How accurate is the tuner?
A. +/-1 cent which puts it in line with tuners like BOSS TU3, Korg Pitch Black and DigiTech Hardwire
